The first four weeks will be drawing projects and the second four weeks, painting. These include traditional subject matter, animals, still life and landscapes, fantasy buildings and dreamscapes. Students will use a variety of drawing and painting materials including pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylics, pastels, and oil pastels. Students will also work on a canvas panel. Each student will progress at their own speed. Various art movements and artists will be used for themes and inspiration.

In Dr. Suzuki’s extremely successful method, children learn to play with excellence. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend both group classes & private lessons with their children. Ms. Stolberg has played with professionals from Aretha Franklin to Pavarotti. She has extensive Suzuki training.

Perform like a rock star with your own band! Write and record songs on CD-DVD. Put on a rock show at the end of each 8 week session. Students will have fun learning the basics of putting together a standard rock piece, gaining experience in composing and arranging songs, and developing musical communication skills and good practice ethics. One hour of instrument lessons each week in the instrument of your choice — Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keyboard or Vocals — and one hour of band instruction each week, where students will write their own music and perform at a rock concert.
